I've disliked nearly every movie that's based on a book because it simply can not capture the nuances of a book. Except the LOTR movies, even though they changed the plot quite a bit.
What do you guys think? |

I hate movies that are based on books...
They never quite potray the 'magic' of the books... I didn't like the LOTR movies the first time I saw them... but yes , I must agree that they are by far the best movies based on a book... -------------------- --CLN

Yeah... movies based on books really suck.
They are always disappointing... Harry Potter series n Lortd Of the Ring serious... I was badly down hearted! I imagined a lot! Pathetic for those who read the books before they went for the movie... |

But how can one forgot to take the essence of lights , characters and music which the movie provide up ...i accept the fact that movies based on books somewat get deviated from the original story ..but yeah in full 2 hrs they provide much more entertainment than books

yes...its hard..to present the story as it is in the book.......i always enjoy reading a book..than watching its movie.........i imagine characters..music..backdrop..and everythin...while reading the book........i guess everyone does

Godfather... now thats one movie thats almost as good as the book!
